Glen Park After-School

Sometimes, staying late after school is a treat.

Supported by SFArtsED, the After-School Program offers more than 200 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade academic support, arts-based enrichment, and physical recreation.

Based on school lesson plans, children are offered reading, writing, and STEM support—with fun, skills-building activities and a homework club that meets two days a week. Arts-based activities focus on developing dexterity in the visual arts, music, rhythm, dance, and theater. And physical- and recreation outlets include sports as well as instruction in healthy lifestyle choices and centering mind/body exercises.

Glen Park Big Blue After School 2018-19

As you may be aware, there are many financial changes with the SFUSD ExCEL after school programs for this coming year. A letter was sent to all SFUSD families in May 2017 outlining these changes. The SFUSD associated letter is attached below. To recap, SFUSD lost federal funding sources leading to a change in after school fees and family co-payments district-wide.

The SFUSD co-payment fee structure provides a CBO parameters to accommodate each individual school community. SFArtsED has worked diligently to stay within the medium of these parameters to best serve the families of our Big Blue Glen Park After School Program.

If you have any questions regarding fees or the application process, please email the Site Coordinator, Susan Tramontana, at glenparkafterschool@gmail.com or call/text 415-699-8253.

SFUSD Qualification

Families will be required to pay an application fee per child to attend the after school program. Based on your family’s SFUSD Multipurpose Family Income Form (MFIF), the different registration fees will apply.

Instructions on how to complete the MFIF (Meal Qualification) form and obtain your free or reduced lunch eligibility status is located on the ExCEL After School Program Co-Payment Fee Guidelines. Click here to download. And for more information, click to read a letter to families from the San Francisco Unified School District.
