Interdisciplinary Arts

Preparing serious art students for the next step.

Our evolving Interdisciplinary Arts program was designed for middle- and high-school students who are serious about pursuing a future in the visual arts—and is fully underwritten with scholarship grants.

Participation in the program gives middle school students an opportunity to create and refine their portfolios for submission to the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts (RASOTA), San Francisco’s public arts high school.

High school students also work intensively with a serious career artist (previous mentors have included Agelio and Delia Batle) to create a new body of work, refine their portfolios, and explore media such as photography, sculpture, painting, and mixed-media installations—culminating in an exhibition at our Minnesota Street Project gallery while giving students a boost into some of the country’s finest college art and design programs.
