Third Saturday: Kite Making with Judit Navratil
Saturday, January 20, 2–4 PM

Join us for a free, immersive workshop led by artist Judit Navratil on January 20th from 2 to 4PM in the SFArtsED gallery at 1275 Minnesota Street.

As part of her installation #maythegoodwindscarryus, this workshop offers a nostalgic journey into memories, where Judit, as the kid of a kite flyer, soared through the skies on large kites. Participants are invited to delve into the symbolic significance of kites and create their own personalized ones.

Whether you choose to build a kite from scratch or prefer to focus on the artistic elements of this timeless activity, no prior experience is required. Kite making is a delightful and inclusive art form suitable for all ages. Please be aware that some materials used during the workshop may not be washable, so come prepared to embrace the hands-on experience.

Walk-ins are welcome, but we encourage sign-ups ahead of time. Materials will be provided but are limited to a first-come first-serve basis. To sign up in advance, please email pete.b@sfartsed.org
